RABBIT ROOTS
The Rabbit started its journey in Cape Town, South Africa. Since then Ash has moved to Birmingham to build a life with her wife Erin.

The pair started to revive the Rabbit with a year of pop ups in the UK and abroad. Soon the want to have a small restaurant became too great and a spot in Stirchley was secured.

The name Riverine Rabbit has much meaning in the family for two reasons, strong roots to the Karoo Desert where the elusive rabbit inhabits and the ongoing endeavour to support sustainable farming practices to prevent the total extinction of such species.
Although the geographical shift of the restaurant has changed, the ethos remains the same. Ash enjoys taking time in getting to know farmers, producers and purveyors locally and further afield in the UK to ensure that The Rabbit is sourcing ingredients with sustainability and respect in mind.
Erin, who is the co-owner of Riverine Rabbit is a Materials Scientist by day and Front of House Manager by night.
